These works take found paintings and add a certain je ne sais quoi to them, giving these pieces a new exciting narrative. Evans takes his cue from thrift store genius Jim Shaw (who installed hundreds of his thrift store finds at Metro Pictures in New York City in the 1980s) and makes these works his own.
