The Beatles Arrive in New York 1964

Hey hey it's The Beatles! John, Paul, George and Ringo arrive in JFK Airport in New York, in 1964, the first stop in their US tour. Photo: The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

I have been looking for a copy of that Beatles arriving in NY print for the better part of the last 25 years. Why? Because the cop standing behind Ringo to his left is my father (I can verify his badge number if you want.)

Can you tell me where I can find it? Please contact me at wreckerboy@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hey Wrecker Boy,

Unfortunately I do not know where the original print of the photo is...but my guess is that one of the New York Dailies might have it in their archives. Why don't you write the photo editors of the NY Daily News, Post or New York Times (you can probably search online). The NYTimes has a photo archive. If that fails try the Bettman archives or the Getty archives. I'm certain it exists somewhere and that you can certainly purchase a good print of the photo.

Very cool your dad was there.

Thanks for visiting.
